We spend a good amount of time criss-crossing the country, and that's definitely on this record. It's got lots of wild fiddle, soaring vocals, some gnarly harmonica, and even a banjo ballad. We were inspired by wide open dusty plains, deep mountain valleys, and tiny farm houses butted right up against old forests. These songs are about love, strife, breakfast, and nothing at all, sometimes all at once. We wrote, recorded, and produced it entirely ourselves. There was no one was telling us to tone down the guitar solos or shorten the drum breaks. We love to jam. We love whiskey. We're from Seattle, hence our name. There's not much sunshine up here, but when there is, it's best to bottle it up as much as you can. And that's what this album is: bottled up sunshine with the windows down on a cruise to meet the horizon. Share it with the ones you love and play it loud!
